My story

Hi, I’m Callista - a landscape artist. I picked up a paint brush in 2008 and haven’t put it down since. I’ve lived in 9 different states as a byproduct of a military family upbringing and my career path. Art has always been a core pillar of my identity that has stayed with me throughout my moves. It connects the me that I am now to the places I’ve been!

I started selling art in 2020, and love being able to articulate nature with both realistic recreation of scenes and emotional interpretation of experience. I’ve landed on impressionism as my main style as it lends itself well to both the realistic and emotional realms.

I focus on recreating experiences from my time in Montana, Alaska and Utah. I’m currently based in Salt Lake City.

My Process

I spend my free time hiking and skiing, soaking in the experience and memorizing landmarks and the feelings they invoke. I recreate those moments on canvas.

I utilize Isaac Newton’s Color Theory to develop palettes that are aesthetically pleasing and lend well to creating series.
